About me

Let me introduce myself…
I didn’t step into design — I gently found my way, like a soft terracotta brushstroke on a quiet canvas. I’m Giulia Michelli, an interior architect and designer drawn to organic forms, earthy textures, and spaces that feel like a hug.
My style is a blend of Italian soul and wandering spirit — shaped by mountain air, foreign cities, and years spent crafting spaces that quietly tell their own stories, balanced between Nordic calm and Italian warmth.

After graduating in Architecture in Udine, Italy, I explored many facets of design, from concept to construction. Amsterdam became my turning point — the place where I realised my true love was for interiors. I began working on high-end hotel projects, before joining the boutique design studio Kolenik, where I could dive deeper into high-end residential design, experimenting with materials, textures, and atmosphere.

Today, I’ve returned to my hometown in the Italian Alps, creating a new life and family while working as a freelancer remotely with the Kolenik team and developing my own projects. My work embraces warm, inviting interiors, bold yet refined details, and innovative materials. Recently, I’ve stepped into product design, crafting bespoke pieces that blend nature’s inspiration, Nordic minimalism, and the colourful soul of Italy.

“ Hi, I’m Giulia Michelli, an interior architect and designer weaving together organic forms, warm textures, and bold elegance. My designs are a dialogue between Nordic calm and Italian vibrance — inspired by nature, shaped by travel, and crafted to feel like home.”
